County reviews first draft of 2027 budget; commissioners ask staff to pursue revenue-neutral options

Scot Lyod of Loyd Group, LLC presented the first draft of the proposed 2027 Pratt County budget during a recessed workshop on June 16. Commissioners discussed options for staying at the county's Revenue Neutral Rate (RNR) and asked Lyod to prepare a second draft with recommended changes to move toward RNR.
The workshop began at 8:00 a.m. and concluded with a motion to adjourn at 10:38 a.m. (motion by Commissioner Jones; seconded by Commissioner Shriver; passed 3-0). No votes on budget text were recorded at this session; the board requested further analysis and a revised draft.
