Council approves consolidation of three Hyde parcels

The Huntsville Town Council unanimously approved the consolidation of three parcels owned by Ski Town Venture LLC on Jan. 22. Applicant Dakota Hyde told the council the parcels—identified in town documents as 24‑011‑0045, 24‑011‑0043 and 24‑011‑0041—had been acquired from the town and consolidation would make administration and development simpler.
"It makes sense for them to be together," Dakota Hyde said, describing the three adjoining parcels as small lots under 0.08 acres each. Mayor Richard L. Sorensen moved to approve the consolidation; TCM Lewis Johnson seconded and the council voted 5–0 to adopt the recommendation from the Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission had reviewed the petition on Jan. 15 and recommended approval to the council. The council’s approval authorizes town staff to record the consolidation deeds with the county recorder following completion of any required documentation.
