The Huntsville Town Council discussed and recommended a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that would allow Ogden Valley City to use Huntsville Town Hall, the maintenance building boardroom and some storage space. The council added suggested clarifications including technical support, maintenance responsibilities, and a proposed rental charge after an initial period.
TCM Sandy Hunter recorded suggested edits into the draft, including a rental amount phrased in the meeting as "at least $500 after 6 months to offset utility costs." TCM Powell moved to recommend the MOU to Mayor Sorensen with the amendments and to have the town attorney review it; TCM Ahlstrom seconded and the motion passed. The MOU in the packet references Resolution No. 2024‑06‑06 and anticipates a June 2026 review to revisit rent or other terms.
Council members emphasized that permission and scheduling remain at Huntsville’s discretion and that the City would be responsible for maintaining any stored materials. The mayor will receive the recommended, amended MOU and the town attorney is expected to review the language before the parties finalize arrangements.
