Council certifies Nov. 2025 municipal election results

At a Nov. 18 canvass meeting, Huntsville officials certified the municipal election results provided by Weber County; Jim Truett and Sandy Hunter were declared elected to council seats and certification was approved by vote.
Huntsville's canvass board (meeting held Nov. 18 and included as an attachment to the Nov. 20 meeting packet) reviewed Weber County's election reports, ballot totals and turnout figures. Councilmember Sandy Hunter, acting as chair of the canvass, noted the vote counts and confirmed that Jim Truett and Sandy Hunter received the most votes and will serve four-year terms on the council.
Councilmember Artie Powell moved to certify the 2025 municipal election results as presented in Weber County's canvass report; the motion carried on a 3–0 vote at the canvass meeting. The canvass minutes were included in the Nov. 20 packet for transparency and official record.
