Two equipment purchases were approved during the meeting.
Article 10: Voters authorized $152,000 for a replacement highway plow truck, with the funds to come from the Highway Equipment Capital Reserve Fund; the Selectmen were authorized to dispose of the 2015 Terrastar by trade or sale. Article 11: Voters approved $71,000 for a police cruiser, to be withdrawn from the Police Cruiser Capital Reserve Fund, and authorized the Selectmen to dispose of the existing Chevrolet pickup by trade or sale. Sue Collins and Greg Placy spoke to the motions; a resident asked for specifics about the pickup, and the Chief provided the answer.
Both motions passed by hand cards. The town record indicates the purchases will be handled through established capital-reserve procedures and vehicle-disposition protocols.
