Colebrook meeting approves $3.23 million general government budget; DRA reporting questioned

Sue Collins moved the measure and spoke to the motion. When an audience member asked why the budget shows projected rather than actual expenses, Collins said "it was a DRA reporting requirement, but the board can change this for future meetings." The motion passed by hand cards; a subsequent restriction to the article was moved by Greg Placy, seconded by Ray Gorman, and adopted.
The meeting record shows the town followed hand-card procedures for on-site voting; officials did not provide a line-item discussion of the general government budget at the meeting.
