Board adopts package of policy updates and suspends several older policies
Summary

The Stevenson-Carson board approved the second reading and then adopted a package of district policies during its Dec. 12 meeting. The motion to adopt followed the second-reading approval; board minutes list multiple policy numbers in the adopted package and record that the motions carried.
Superintendent Ingrid Colvard confirmed it was acceptable to remove COVID-19 wording from Policy 3122 and clarified the district’s definition of an "auxiliary aid" for policy 3210 as a device the district provides when needed. Colvard also recommended suspending policies that have been absorbed into current WSSDA guidance or are no longer recognized. The minutes list the suspended policies by number.
