McManus said the drain district contains 11 properties (10 payers) spanning six municipalities and described the drain's condition as long-standing. He noted the county's current revolving drainage amount exceeds $4 million and said his target is to reduce that revolving balance to roughly $1.5 million. Committee members commended McManus for lowering the cost estimate. The committee signed the resolution to send to the full Board of Commissioners for consideration next week.
