Pratt County adopts Neighborhood Revitalization Plan with unanimous vote

The Pratt County Commission adopted the proposed Neighborhood Revitalization Plan on June 8, approving Resolution 06-08-2026 by a 3-0 vote.
“MOTION – Approve Resolution 06-08-2026 to adopt the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan,” moved Commissioner Rick Shriver and seconded by Commissioner Thomas W. Jones III; the motion passed unanimously. Chairman Morgan Trinkle opened the public hearing and no in-person or online public comments were received.
County Counselor Tyson Eisenhauer summarized the development process for the plan and listed the participating taxing entities pending their final approvals: Pratt County, City of Pratt, USD 382, USD 438, Pratt Community College, Pratt Airport Authority, City of Iuka and City of Sawyer. Tyson informed the commission that each participating taxing entity will conduct its own required public hearing and approval process and that, after local approvals, the documents will be submitted to the Kansas Attorney General for review. The plan becomes effective upon recording with the Register of Deeds and the Kansas Secretary of State.
Copies of the plan, legal descriptions and the interlocal agreement were made available for public review through the County Clerk’s and County Appraiser’s offices. The county said it will issue a joint public announcement once the program is effective.
