Police Chief Michael Maynard told the Village of South Bloomfield council that a proposed recruiting contract discussed at a prior meeting would be unenforceable, according to advice from the village solicitor. He said he will contact other agencies that use recruiting programs to gather information before moving forward.
Maynard also reported the village did not receive the OCJS grant for new mobile data terminals (MDTs) and is rewriting the application. "He has it about 80% rewritten at this point and will be resubmitting it as soon as it is finished," the minutes record. The chief plans to resubmit after incorporating feedback from the OCJS representative.
