At the June 4 meeting the commissioners voted to reject the single bid received for the 4H Show Arena restroom renovations (Troy Jay Construction — $118,070.00), citing concerns the lone bid may be overpriced; the project will be re-advertised (Resolution #2026-226).
Separately, the board approved the advertisement and bid specifications for an RFP to construct the Agricultural and Conservation Community Learning Center at Munnell Run Farm, with bids due July 2, 2026 and public opening at the July 9 special meeting (Resolution #2026-225). Bidding documents are available via the Mercer County website or HHSDR Architects/Engineers.
The board also awarded the Children & Youth Services Building Flooring Project to Marett Carpet One of Volant, PA for $102,308.00, subject to contract execution (Resolution #2026-224). These procurement decisions were moved by Mr. Finley, seconded by Dr. Coleman and recorded as approved.
