Mercer County approves personnel actions and tentatively agrees to deputy sheriff contract

The board approved several human resources actions across departments, including new hires in the jail, corrections and public defender offices and transfers in Children & Youth Services and Domestic Relations. Resolutions #2026-220 and #2026-221 list effective dates and pay grades for each action.
The county also approved Resolution #2026-222 to accept a tentative agreement with the Mercer County Deputy Sheriff’s Association (MCDSA), pending execution of the final collective bargaining agreement. Commissioner Coleman and Human Resources Director Angela Sorg answered a media question about the settlement. The motion to approve the tentative agreement was moved by Mr. Finley and seconded by Dr. Coleman and recorded as passed.
