County approves lease and tower modifications for Otter Creek site to support new radio system

The board approved Resolution 2026-205 to enter into a lease with SBA Properties, LLC for tower and ground-space rental at 694 Mitchell Hill Rd. (the Otter Creek site) and Resolution 2026-206 to issue a purchase order to perform structural modifications to the site following a load study. The lease term is five years with four automatic five-year renewals; rent increases annually by 3% and will be paid from the county 9-1-1 fund.
Commissioner Finley said the Otter Creek site is one of seven towers that are part of the new Public Safety Radio System and emphasized the county's desire to get the sites operational. The modifications were recommended after a load study and will be paid from the 9-1-1 Fund.
