Selectboard hires Goldstone to design public safety facility for $32,000

The Selectboard reviewed four architectural proposals for upgrades to the town Firehouse building from Cotton Architects, Goldstone, NCA and Bread Loaf. Julie Isaacs said she had spent in-depth time studying the bids and reviewed references, fees, conceptual designs, feasibility and sustainability considerations.
Isaacs moved to retain Goldstone for the design work at $32,000; the motion was seconded by Bill Schwartz and passed unanimously. Jeff Goldstone spoke about his firm's experience and how it would approach schematic design and deliverables. The Town Administrator will work out contract details and return to the board as necessary.
Board members thanked Isaacs for her review and Goldstone for the presentation. The contract award establishes the next step for programming and schematic work on the public safety facility.
