The Carlton County Board approved a budget planning schedule on May 26 that sets early start times and schedules budget discussions before the County Board on several dates: June 22, July 27 and August 24 (all starting at 3 p.m.), and moves the December meeting date to December 21. Additional Committee of the Whole dates were listed for early July through September with 3 p.m. starts.
Following those scheduling votes, the Board moved into a closed session under Minnesota Statute section 13D.05, subdivision 3(b), for attorney-client privileged discussion, then closed the closed session and returned to the adjourned meeting. No formal action resulted from the closed session. The meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.; minutes were attested by County Auditor/Treasurer Kevin DeVriendt and County Board Chairperson Thomas R. Proulx.
