County staff told the court it received a single responsive proposal for RFPPC 26-11, the rainwater-harvesting system bid, and recommended the award to Rainwater Equipment LLC. "This proposal is in compliance with the terms of the RFP and is recommended for award to rainwater equipment," the staff member said, noting the bid includes pricing for multiple tank sizes and that the bid is valid for one year.
A commissioner asked whether the vendor recommended by Upper Trinity had responded; the staff member answered that it had not. Commissioner Hale made a motion to accept the single qualified proposal and to approve the corresponding prices for the listed tank sizes; Commissioner Connolly seconded the motion. The court carried the motion 5–0.
The staff report and bid tabulation will govern pricing if precincts or departments later allocate funds for tanks; the single-bid award establishes Rainwater Equipment LLC as the recommended vendor for the year-long bid period.
