The Parker County Commissioners Court voted Dec. 4 to award a contract to JKC Construction for Precinct 2 renovations, approving a contract amount of $51,771. The work covers a bathroom expansion at the precinct shop and repair and replacement of a damaged outside wall.
Staff told the court four responses were received for RFPPC 26-13, and listed the firms that bid. "We received responses from JKC Construction, Look Up Properties, Talbot Rod LLC, and Sullivan Contract Services," the staff member reported. The Chair moved the award: "I'm gonna make the motion that we use JKC Construction for a total amount of 51,771," and the motion was recorded as made by Commissioner Holt and seconded by Commissioner Walden. The court approved the motion by voice vote.
The staff packet included bid tabulation information such as warranty period, proposed start date, days to completion and references. Commissioners did not request further discussion before voting. The award is recorded on the consent agenda as RFPPC 26-13.
