The Carlton County Board on May 26 approved multiple solid-waste procurement actions. The Board approved the second of three one-year extensions with Cloquet Riverside Recycling for collection of recyclable materials at $5,500 per month plus a $300 monthly reporting fee and additional excess-removal charges; the contract term runs July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 and allows a CPI-based price adjustment on renewal.
The Board also authorized posting a bid notice for an electronics recycling agreement and awarded the scrap metal transportation and recycling contract to Anderson Recycling, LLC at $20 per ton for a one-year term (July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027). These procurement actions were approved by motion and carried by all commissioners present.
