Rogers County OKs Phase 1 of two-phase sheriff network upgrade, phases funded from Use Tax

The Rogers County Board of County Commissioners on April 13 approved a two-phased upgrade of the Rogers County Sheriff's Office network to modernize firewall, switches, access points and backup systems. Chairman Ron Burrows presented the plan, which lists Phase 1 at $68,775.00 and Phase 2 at $140,776.00, and the board voted to proceed with Phase 1 now and schedule Phase 2 for the next fiscal year.
Commissioner Dan DeLozier moved to approve Phase 1 immediately and Phase 2 to follow in the next fiscal year; Commissioner Steve Hendrix seconded. The board recorded a unanimous roll call: DeLozier-aye, Hendrix-aye, Burrows-aye. The board directed both phases to be paid from the Use Tax fund. The item was presented and approved as a purchase of network equipment and associated installation and configuration services.
