Commission approves multiple intergovernmental and vendor agreements
Summary
The board authorized a First Amendment to the South Dakota ICAC Joint Powers Agreement, an Election Agreement with the City of Brookings, an inmate SMS texting services contract, and several other administrative agreements and letters of intent.
During its March 17 meeting the Brookings County Commission approved a set of administrative agreements. Among them were Agreement #26-22, the First Amendment to the South Dakota Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Joint Powers Agreement; Agreement #26-23, an Election Agreement between Brookings County and the City of Brookings; Agreement #26-24, an Inmate SMS Texting Messaging Location Services Agreement with Reliance Systems Incorporated; and Agreement #26-25, a Real Estate Relationships Disclosure Agreement with Ryan Krogman/Krogman and Company Real Estate.
Background for the ICAC amendment was provided by Sheriff Marty Stanwick and Detective Tom Chester. Finance Officer Lori Schultz provided background for the election agreement. The board approved each agreement by roll‑call vote, and Chairperson Hostler was authorized to sign the documents. The meeting minutes indicate routine background and unanimous approval for the items presented.
