Brookings County names Tim Huber part-time Weed & Pest supervisor

The Brookings County Weed & Pest Board introduced Tim Huber as its new part-time Weed & Pest Supervisor at its March 24 meeting. Chairperson Steve Olson and board members recorded Huber's hire and welcomed him; Huber said he recently retired from the Brookings Landfill and "started his applicator testing last week and hopes to be done by the end of April."
The board agreed to wait on hiring an additional part-time seasonal employee until Huber has assessed workload and staffing needs. Huber said he will consult with other weed staff about equipment and operational needs before any new hires or purchases are pursued.
