Parker County canvasses Nov. 4 constitutional amendment election

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, and commissioners approved the canvass of the Nov. 4, 2025 constitutional amendment election.
Cricket, the county elections official, reported that the office counted 10,572 early votes, 11,807 election‑day votes, 230 mail ballots, 15 limited ballots and 2 provisional ballots, for a grand total of 22,617 and an overall turnout of roughly 17%. "We had 10,572 that voted during early voting, 11,807 on election day, 230 mail in ballots, 15, limiteds, and then we had 2 provisionals that were counted," Cricket said.
Cricket also distributed a sheet comparing 2022 through 2025 voter registration and turnout trends, noting registered voters have increased while turnout has remained within typical ranges. After a short discussion about turnout levels, the chair called for a motion to approve the canvass; the motion was seconded and the chair recorded the motion as carried, 4–0.
The county said staff will return with a focused agenda item to address procedural and operational improvements discussed after the canvass.
