Lawrence County accepts Halme Inc. low bid of $1.8377 million for Nemo bridge replacements

The bid amount accepted was $1,837,698.25; the board authorized the chairman to sign the construction agreement and issue a Notice to Proceed contingent upon South Dakota Department of Transportation approval (moved Flanagan, second Ewing).
Highway Superintendent John Bey recommended following the highway office's bid evaluation. The county record notes several other bids received and that one bid from Woelber Excavating arrived late and was rejected. The contract is contingent on SDDOT concurrence and standard county permitting requirements.
