Probation reports rise in restitution collections and community-service completions

Probation supervisor Brittany Heysler gave the committee a statistical update and a quarterly report on Alternative to Incarceration programs. Heysler said 10 people were released to PTR through CAP Court during the quarter and two through the Supreme Court; community service completions occurred and as of March 31 there were 21 active community service cases with 125.75 hours completed during the quarter.
She told the committee the office has seen a substantial increase in restitution collection activity compared with the prior year and reported four people successfully completed community service obligations during the quarter. The Committee accepted the probation report as information.
