Finance Committee: 2025 audit nearing completion; CIP work and tax updates discussed

Leigh Battin, reporting for Finance, said the 2025 financial audit is in its final stages and that Drescher & Malecki certified their AFR with the State last week. She said finalized financial statements and the single-audit materials will be posted to the county site when available.
Battin outlined next steps for the Capital Improvement Plan: departmental requests have been collected and Finance will integrate them into a combined chart for committee review in upcoming meetings. She also reported that Greenwich generated roughly $67,000 of additional PILOT revenue in 2025 and that the county had received about $14,000 in cannabis tax through the end of April; the village and towns will receive $5,517 in next week's audit and the county expected to retain about $3,600.
The committee accepted the Finance report as information and agreed there were no objections to forwarding a slate of budget-transfer and appropriation resolutions to the full Legislature.
