Public Health launches tick‑awareness and shingles campaigns; county sees seasonal rabies calls

Broome‑Quissimisse described a seasonal increase in rabies exposure calls due to animal bites and said the county will continue vaccination efforts through upcoming clinics. She also told the committee that "Unintentional injury in Yates County is different than other counties, as other counties are mostly impacted by overdoses" and that local rates are more affected by traffic incidents, drownings and farm accidents. The committee accepted the report as information.
