Wagoner County approves slate of zoning amendments, refuses one bid and awards another

The Wagoner County Board of Commissioners approved a series of zoning map amendments and ratified actions on several road-related bids during its April 6 meeting.
Commissioners voted to approve resolutions ZNE-04-2026, ZNE-08-2026, ZNE-09-2026, ZNE-10-2026, ZNE-11-2026, ZNE-13-2026, ZNE-14-2026 and ZNE-17-2026 covering properties in Broken Arrow, Coweta and Porter. The motion to approve these individual resolutions passed with recorded votes in each instance showing Commissioners Hanning and Stamps and Commissioner Kelley voting where noted; the minutes record unanimous approval for those items. Separately, the board denied Resolution 2026-010 (ZNE-85-2025) for Deland, LLC (Delehanty Family Trust) at 9278 N. 50th St. W., Porter.
On procurement matters, the commissioners voted to refuse submissions for Bid #2026-08 (E. 121st St S. and S. 289th E. Ave full depth reclamation). The board awarded Bid #2026-011 (asphalt overlay and levelling 121st W of 51 Hwy) to the second-lowest bidder, Ross Construction, citing a priority on “established longevity to ensure risk mitigation.” The minutes record the award motion passed with votes recorded as Hanning, aye; Stamps, aye; Kelley, aye.
The approvals cover individual parcel zoning requests and routine bid actions; several items were passed as motions with no extended discussion recorded in the minutes.
