Carlton County adopts $1.42 million Kettle/Upper St. Croix watershed budget

On June 9 the Carlton County Board adopted Resolution 26-041 approving the Partnership budget for the second biennium of Kettle/Upper St. Croix watershed-based implementation funding in the amount of $1,420,116. The resolution authorizes the Zoning Administrator or Board Chair to sign documents related to that funding and notes Pine County is expected to act as fiscal agent.
Commissioner Zmyslony moved the resolution, which passed unanimously. The board—ile indicates the Policy Committee approved the FY26-27 budget on May 14, 2026; the county will receive funds to support projects identified in the watershed plan.
