The Kendall County Commissioners’ Court approved its consent agenda on July 14, taking one motion to approve multiple routine items. The motion, made by Commissioner Chad Carpenter and seconded by Commissioner Jennifer McCall, carried 4-0 with the County Judge absent. Items approved include minutes from June meetings, a list of donations received in June 2026, the County Auditor’s monthly financial report for May 2026, surplus property declaration and disposition by online auction, and FY2026 budget amendments.
Consent items also included action on a financial guarantee for a Right of Way Permit associated with the Town of Comfort amending plat: a cash deposit of $51,900.50 to guarantee water and sanitary sewer improvements in county right-of-way on portions of Second Street, Third Street and Main Street in Comfort. The court also approved naming two private roads — Sacramento (off Crabapple Road) and Toman Road (off Seidensticker Drive near Old Hwy #9) — to assist 911 emergency response routing.
