The Krebs City Council on June 9 voted to disapprove a $48,500 contract award to Sikes, Incorporated of Muskogee for roof repairs at the Krebs Heritage Museum and Gene Heathcock Community Center. Councilmember Larry Coxsey moved to disapprove “until we find out what insurance is going to do before we make any repairs,” and the motion passed 4–0 after Jeanetta Hauck seconded.
The decision followed presentation of the bid materials included in the meeting book. The council did not adopt the contract and left the matter for further review pending confirmation of insurance coverage. City staff did not finalize a new timeline for the repair in the meeting.
