The court opened a public hearing on a requested replat in the Silverado on the Brazos development and heard multiple speakers from the subdivision, including owner Will Woods and HOA board members. Woods described prior lot splits and his reasons for seeking a reconfiguration; HOA representatives and neighbors opposed the request and cited recorded Deed Covenants & Restrictions.
Dale McFarland, an HOA board member, read the relevant provision aloud: “No tract may thereafter be split, divided, subdivided for sale, resale, gift, transfer, or otherwise.” County counsel advised commissioners that an established right/document had been presented to the court that tied the county's hands. The court voted to disapprove the replat 5‑0.
