County moves to re‑advertise aggregate/cold‑mix bid and pursue interlocal solution after vendors fall short

Procurement staff said Somerville’s awarded vendor has agreed “to allow piggybacking off of Summerville's contract for us if their commissioner's court approves it,” and the court authorized re‑advertisement and granted the judge authority to execute the interlocal after Somerville’s approval. Commissioners also noted an existing interlocal with Ellis County for hot mix that county crews can use in the short term.
