Parker County commissioners on Nov. 24 approved an interlocal agreement with the City of Fort Worth to participate in its hazardous‑waste voucher program and raised the voucher fee to $125. The court directed that vouchers be sold at the county's two convenience centers and asked staff to publish an up‑to‑date list of accepted materials before offering the service.
The county's procurement staff noted the vouchers had previously been sold through other outlets but that the sheriff's office is no longer selling them. Commissioners discussed surface materials such as paint, antifreeze and batteries and asked staff to confirm exactly which items will be accepted under the Fort Worth program. "The new fee would be a $125," staff said when presenting the interlocal agreement. The motion to approve the fee and sales locations carried 5–0.
Staff said they will coordinate with Fort Worth to ensure the county posts clear guidance online and at precinct barns and convenience centers before vouchers go on sale.
