An agency official reported ongoing coordination with the Attorney General’s office, the governor’s office and other state and national regulator groups about federal cannabis rescheduling. The official said the agency has met with Cannabis Regulators Association (CANRA) staff and state representatives and was asked whether the board would provide public guidance.
"We are in the final process of getting a document out. We envision that it'll probably come out early next week," the official said, adding that guidance will be limited to the agency's current legal authority and does not yet signal substantive regulatory changes. Board members thanked the staff for coordination but were told there are no immediate changes to policy at this time.
