The commission approved a set of bylaws, rules of procedure and a county code of conduct that staff said formalize routine practices and provide a single location for adopted policies. A staff member told commissioners the documents largely "spell out the general rules and procedures for the county commission" and that the bylaws refer to state statute and will include addenda for future policies.
Officials said the code of conduct will be distributed to those who need to sign it and that HR will help collect signatures. Commissioners approved the package on a unanimous voice vote and staff will work with HR to finalize the documents and circulation.
