The Krebs City Council on May 19 approved Ordinance 26-05, which prohibits camping and unauthorized encampments on public property within the city. The motion to adopt the ordinance was made by Councilmember Larry Coxsey and seconded by Jeanetta Hauck; recorded votes were yes by Coxsey, Hauck, Sherry DeFrange and Dan Heathcock and the motion passed.
Council then approved an emergency clause so the ordinance would take effect immediately upon passage. Jeanetta Hauck moved for the emergency clause and Sherry DeFrange seconded; the same four council members registered yes.
