Union County reports five new short-term rental licenses; renewal season underway

At the June 8 STR Board meeting, Secretary/SEO Megan Kimsey presented 'UC STR by the Numbers,' saying "the County is up 5 STR properties since the previous meeting" and that renewal season is currently underway with renewals beginning to be submitted.
Board member AnaLuisa Salvatti asked whether STR owners can refuse service animals; guest William Mercer responded that property owners "have the right to turn away dogs if they do not want them in their property." The board recorded the data as part of Attachment 1 and noted that complaints and renewal processing are active items for staff to monitor.
