On the consent agenda, the board approved a quote for Chromebooks for incoming freshmen and accepted bids for facilities work, including a Murray Plumbing and Fire bid for West Valley High School boiler replacement. Chair (speaker 2) moved several technology and facilities items through the consent calendar with second and voice approvals.
Separately, the board approved purchase of two Anatomage virtual cadaver tables for classroom instruction. "This is amazing, you guys. I'm so excited about this," the chair said when moving the Anatomage purchase. Trustees voted in favor of the purchase, which district staff described as an instructional enhancement for anatomy and health-science pathways.
Board members also discussed contract options for third-party services and data protections when reviewing a vendor agreement; one trustee warned about student-data requirements in a data-use agreement related to a behavioral-health provider procurement.
