Porter defers action on town-beautification and Town Hall improvements

Mayor Steve Dickey reported the town is still waiting to receive lamp posts for the town-beautification project and said he hopes poles and flags can be installed before Memorial Day. The board voted to take no action on the item at the Feb. 5 meeting.
Separately, Norma Meyer said she has not yet received cost estimates for blocking windows and replacing decayed material at Town Hall, and rock still needs to be placed around the front door columns. The board also voted to take no action on the Town Hall beautification item pending further estimates.
