Deputy Town Clerk Kendra Moore told the council that Town Hall telephones are outdated and that an amendment to the Uniti Solutions agreement (previously Kinetic Windstream) would both upgrade the phones and lower the town’s monthly telephone bill from $485.00 to $196.00. Ryan Moore moved to approve the amendment; Norma Meyer seconded and the motion passed 5–0.
Board members recorded no conditions on the amendment. The change is expected to reduce recurring telecommunications expense immediately following contract execution.
