The Town of Porter voted unanimously on Feb. 5, 2026, to adopt Ordinance No. 2026-1, updating Section 5-101 to reference the building code used by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission and the International Code Council. Norma Meyer moved for adoption with the corrected adoption date of Feb. 5, 2026; Ryan Moore seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The ordinance replaces the former reference to the BOCA Basic Building Code, which the board noted is no longer in effect, and aligns the town’s building-code citation with the current state-adopted standards. The board did not record any dissent or conditions on the adoption. The ordinance will take effect as specified in the adopted text.
