Providence Group outlines design, amenities and neighbor outreach for Fox Road project

Alex Brock, the applicant’s land use attorney, described project design and neighborhood outreach during the live presentation.
Brock said homes would include internal sidewalks, perimeter open space and a central open area with a fire pit and a central mail kiosk. “There will be side internal sidewalks, within the community. We'll have open space along the perimeter or periphery of the site as well as the central open space with a fire pit, for the community and a central mail kiosk for mail pickup,” he said.
On stormwater, Brock said detention would be underground with open space above and that no structures would be built over the detention area. He also told attendees that Providence Group representatives had contacted nearby residents: “We did make an effort to go around to knock on doors, prior to this meeting to, try to speak to, some of you… I did that, a week or 2 ago.”
The applicant noted the community would have a single exit onto Fox Road leading south toward Kimball Bridge. Brock said the Providence Group has built similar communities in the metro area and expects to discuss the project further at a planning commission hearing in May.
