Chattahoochee High senior builds pergola for school greenhouse

Arjun Sanjay, who identified himself during the Johns Creek City Council meeting, said he is a senior at Chattahoochee High School and completed an Eagle Scout project building a pergola for the school's greenhouse and mulching an adjacent area. "I built a pergola for the Chattahoochee High School greenhouse and I mulched an area beside it," he said, adding that the space is used as an outdoor classroom for biology and chemistry students.

The mayor presented a certificate to recognize the work; council members and attendees acknowledged the contribution but did not vote on funding or related actions. Arjun said the beneficiary of his project "liked my project as well," and provided a brief description of how students will use the upgraded outdoor classroom.
