Committee approves vouchers; administrator reports annex settling and payroll bank issues

The Finance Committee voted to approve the monthly vendor invoices, payroll and investment reports presented at the Feb. 19 meeting after County Administrator Lee Engfer answered committee questions. Max Weiss moved to approve the vouchers; Steve Nelson seconded and the motion carried.
In administrative reports, Engfer said maintenance has budgeted heat-replacement work for the first floor to be done this summer. He reported several low areas in the annex lot are settling—possibly due to water-main and piping issues—and that the City of Alma has been notified; sand has been placed in affected areas. Engfer also told the committee Bank of Alma has experienced problems processing county payroll and said a meeting with another financial institution is scheduled for next week.
