Commissioners reported the Wind and Solar Ordinance Committee needs one additional representative from a municipality and plans to convene on Dec. 9, 2024. The board said a moratorium draft related to wind and solar development has been forwarded to the county attorney and is pending legal review.
During public comment, resident Todd Glancy asked whether the committee meeting would be open to the public. President John Lancaster responded, "It will not be a public meeting." The board did not take a formal vote on the committee membership at the Nov. 18 meeting and did not finalize the moratorium language while it is under attorney review.
