BCEDC says six READI grant applications submitted; schedules public Q&A with wind and solar companies

Warren Brown, executive director of the Blackford County Economic Development Corporation, told commissioners that six READI grant applications from Blackford County have been scored and submitted. Brown asked the board to authorize BCEDC to begin discussions with EDP; Commissioner Laura Coons moved to approve the request and the motion passed 3–0.
Brown said he is coordinating a public question-and-answer meeting with the four current wind and solar companies and members of the public, tentatively in early October, and that Rob Keesling of AEP will be included. "BCEDC Executive Director Warren Brown reported six applications from Blackford County for the READI grant have all been scored and submitted," the meeting record states. The public meeting is intended to allow residents to ask project-specific questions ahead of further planning activity.
