"There are only 2 properties to acquire," he said.
Halah said approximately half of the affected property owners have agreed to financial remuneration for easements or relocations. The council approved issuing purchase agreements for the acquisitions and easements so staff can continue planning; he said planning work will continue into the fall and spring and that major construction is likely in calendar year 2028. The council emphasized the work seeks to improve traffic flow and reduce long wait times at the intersection.
