Extension reports new 4-H classes, training and 'Caught Being Awesome' recognition

Campbell County Extension reported new 4-H classes and trainings beginning in late March and said the program will replace 'gotcha' tickets with a 'Caught Being Awesome' interactive youth recognition activity.
County Extension Office staff told the Fair Board that several 4-H offerings will begin in the coming weeks, and that the program will change its youth recognition system.
Kimberly Fry, representing the Extension Office and 4-H, said classes starting soon include wool judging, Wright YQCA, and a horse committee tied to rodeo. She said participants will attend hoWorks training toward the end of March, Jump into Judging will begin, and 4-H camp registration will open. Fry said 4-H will replace the current gotcha tickets with a new interactive recognition activity called "Caught Being Awesome."
Makala Riley added that project week is scheduled during spring break with ongoing classes such as cake decorating, leathercraft, and shooting sports, and that volunteers will be recognized during National Volunteer Week.
