Kristi Krieg, the district's MTSS Director, briefed the board on special education and outreach matters during the Feb. 26 meeting.
Krieg reported that special education (SPED) enrollment is increasing and that the district is expanding its community access program to give students more opportunities in community settings. She said Outreach enrollment figures were reviewed and that staff attended the WALA conference for professional development. Krieg also described a Teen Kitchen partnership that works with the Senior Center.
The board received the update as part of routine reports; no policy action on SPED or outreach was recorded in the minutes.
