Public commenter urges safety rules for existing energy facilities in special-use permits

"There is nothing to address the current energy facilities. This is something that does need to be addressed so it can be shown in the special use permits, so that the facility would show it can meet safety standards," the commenter said. The same commenter argued that a moratorium would not be the best option and that proceeding through normal permitting would allow applicants to provide required safety information to the county.
